A Catalan soprano Montserrat Caballé (born April 12 1933) is a noted opera singer, renowned for her bel canto technique and her interpretations of the roles of Rossini, Bellini, and Donizetti.

Caballé was natural around Barcelona.. When researching music at a Liceu Conservatory, she joined the Basel Opera within 1956, where she manufactured her broker operatic debut in 1957 as Mimì in La Bohème. For the 1960–61 year, she was engaged per Bremen Opera, where she specialized within bel canto roles. Inside 1962 Caballé returned to Barcelona & mass produced her debut at a Liceu.
